I like the loop hole in the law, trust someone to think of it. You have to give you fathers inside leg measurement at Halfords :-)

Good point Cliff,

Don't you remember when I took you laning in Leicester Mark....

Dave was the one driving round the puddles, and laying his jacket down first if he had to go through.

Nice plate though, perfect number!

I'm going to have to wait a while until I can have LR2279MUD (and it still won't look as good as yours   )

I dont think so, they look legal to me

As long as the text is the right shape, letters the correct distance and the right material is used (refelctivness etc) they are legal

The LAND ROVER on the left is the same as the EU etc

I think they would be 100% legal

IIRC to be road legal, the plate must have B.S. mark and
post code or 'phone number of plate maker :-k

font and spacing look OK but I was under the impression

a) you can only have EU/Flag on the left
b) Has to have details of who made it.

A) you can have what ever you like on the side there is no legal requirement for it.

B) No they dont We make Them and we put the name of the company who purchase them, or what the Client asks for or leave them blank, we never put our company name on unless we put them on our own Vehicles

I make number plates for a large company and the law states that if the person you are selling the plates to is not registered with the dvla (costs £40) as a number plate supplier then it must have the makers post code and name on, if they are registered then the plates must have their name and post code on, and they must keep records of the person and vehicle the plates are for.   :?

What a lot of legislation for just a small thing you would have thought that if it was clear to read then no problem. You have to give your life history at most places when you get a plate made up to try and stop cloning.
There is know change to spacing or letter size so hopefully the police have much better things to be doing. Some of the plates i have seen are so messed up you carn't read them at all.

Ps dose any one know if MUD UK is still going  :?:  put my details on last week but still not changed.
