Hiya,
My 300 series disco has had a different door lock on the drivers door and as such doesnt match up with all the other locks. Can I get a new lock for the drivers door that would match up with the rest, or would I need to get a new complete lock set for all ?
Cheers!
p.s. also posted this on the DOC club forum

Yes, from what I can find out, the drivers door lock was replaced to resolve the spring issue before I got the car :(

I believe you can buy what is called a harmonised key set but at some considerable cost. I think you'll have to use a main dealer for this service.
My ignition barrel broke up internally (how can that happen in this day and age) and I now have 2 keys one for ignition one for doors but I couldn't face the cost of the harmonised set.

In the dim and distant past you used to be able to buy a blank barrel. Put the key into the barrel and file off the remaining bits that are pushed out by the key and then refit the barrel.
It may be possible to do this on certain types of keys. Not sure if it can be done on a 300 lock/key though.
