Post by: the loon on October 30, 2005, 22:38:41
far to cold outside to wash my the mud off my boots and tow strop so chucked them in the bath when I got out.

Thats not the normal colour of the water when I get out either before anyone makes any sarcastic comments

Very well - someone sold a nice cup of tea on there last week! That hot exhaust / mud smell varies greatly depending on the type of mud. The worst are bogs that smell of old farts!
How quickly did you have to clear up b4 your missus spotted it????

Ah but I think you are in a minority Joanne!

Actually, I do all the cleaning around the house anyway, so I'll use the bath how I like and TOUGH if there's a muddy tide mark

You do realise that would mean you would have to do ALL the loading and unloading yourself.

I appologise for my remark it was rather flippant.

Any way back to the subject of this thread.!!

Whilst changing the brake shoes on a inferor vehicle I managed to damaged wheel cylinder seal and covered the new brakeshoes with brake fluid over the next week.  Took them off and soaked in water overnight then placed in oven on gas mark 2 for a hour or so to dry.  It worked but Sunday dinner didn't half taste funny
