Have just bought a camera mount to go on the dash in the 90 for when I'm out and about (mainly so can video discogeordie getting stuck. I wouldnt let it lie)
Have tried clamping the mount on to dash but dash is too soft so clamp wont grip.
Any idears how I can get around this?

How about a couple of small(ish) bits of plywood or similar between the clamp and the dash? They might spread the load out enough to stop the dash distorting.

mmm could work. Stick a piece of checker plate on the top piece to make it look the part ...
thanks will give that a go

Not got any ideas, unless you use something to spread the weight a bit, like thin strips of plate. :?
I use one of these, costs a bit more but very good and will put up with all sorts of treatment off-road, will even stick to the outside of the vehicle!

bit out of my price range. good job I hadnt seen that sooner as would have been told of by SWMBO for even looking

I know, I bought it and then told her how much it cost!!

Having seen u trying to fit the mount, the dash is far too soft, the best suggestion as mentioned would be checker plate. Or perhaps something attached to the mount and the point were it meets the dash.
Hmmm thinks :(thinkhard):
