Title: floor carpets
Post by: Matt_H on October 31, 2005, 22:00:25
lifted one of the carpets today, then the thick matt to find that the foam type stuff is basically a big sponge.

My plan is to remove the front foot well sections carpet, and under liners) and replace with a thick rubber matt... Has anyone done this before?

Any good sources for heavy duty thick rubber?

Matt

I found this http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/sea/searchresults.jsp;jsessionid=KCHDBS5OZTNCNCJO2C1CIIQ?_dyncharset=UTF-8&q=rubber+matting&n=&pn=1&pd=1&pi=1&cn=1&cd=1&x=0&y=0# but I don't think that is the one you mean - have you got a link at all?

Thanks!
Matthew

Yeah thats it.  It may not be thick enough but I think you'd be suprised.  If you want, I'll send you a little cut off and you see if its tyhick enough.

Ive used it for inner wings and its great.

PM me your address and when Im at the Land Rover at weekend I'll post you a bit so you can see if its good enough
