Title: How come I've never seen this before? (anti-anti-propaganda)
Post by: defuzz on November 03, 2005, 19:15:48
Was just surfing the net and came across Wikipedia's articles on Land Rovers, and found a link to a Lincolnshire road safety site with details of ACTUAL GOVERNMENT STATISTICS showing the likelihood of driver injury in 2+ vehcile accidents

AND lo and behold, according the the stats SUVs/4x4s are actually safer, with the Defender and Discovery coming out top with a couple of other "normal" cars.

How can they claim SUVs are more dangerous?????

I'm amazed I've never come across these stats before

I have seen that before somewhere but lost the link (or never saved it)- great find though. It will be sweet to quote at the Anti's!

Conclusion- Mini or Defender? Buy the car you're six times more likey to die in because it has better NCAP rating........
