What are the best Spot lights to go on the front bumper? Im after some rectangular type as I think they look a little better than round lamps. I want as bright as possible with more of a flood pattern than a spot. Im also after one that will not fill up with water when submurged! and will not coroded after a cuple of years as the landrover spots that are on there have done!
What does evryone think about the tinted blue bulbs that you can put in your head lights are they anygood? What about the othertype of bulbs available that clame to be 30% brighter and beter night vision etc. Is it down to personal preferance or do people have a perticular type that evryone rates as the best? or it it all just a sales plot!
Thanks again Jonny

Best way of lamps not flooding is fit them on the roof, you can set the pattern for wide and see into the holes as well

For the headlight bulbs see if your local Rally shop sells 130/90's. Not legal but bl--dy bright. If you do fit them stich a couple of relays in the system for wiring safety.--Cogs

Have a look at Procomp (http://www.explorerprocomp.co.uk/acatalog/LightsAccesories_LightsSwitches.html) lights. I thought they made rectangle ones in stainless but looks from the website that it's only the 130 watt 6" or 9" rounds that are.
The others to look at are KC Daylighters (http://www.mattsavage.com/bits/lights/) which used to be sealed beam units, they won't fill up!
Or there's Devon 4x4 (http://www.devon4x4.com/products/22/Lights) for Lightforce, Warn and IPF, although these are better, you will pay for the quality.

Dont get KC Daylighters, I have em and they constantly blow bulbs in cold weather. Had them replaced twice and it seems when the air around the bulb is so cold, you switch them on and the sudden heat produced makes em pop!
