Title: They hit my Frontera :(
Post by: Barry Scott on November 05, 2005, 12:50:27
Well the Frontera has some battle damage and against all the odds, it is not from off roading.

A couple of weeks ago they people opposite knocked to say their car had hit mine (think the handbrake had not been put on properly).  It left two nice line dents in the passenger door and took some paint of the seal.

I was not too bothered with getting it repaired as I expect worse off road but lately I have heard some wind whistling when driving on motorwars so I have assumed it is from that.  I got a couple of estimates today, waiting for one but the other was £527.57.

Damn, the car is only worth £1000, if it had been £601 it would have most likely been a write off and I could have gone shopping for a Disco  :(

Have too see if it goes through insurance or out of their own pocket.

o dear.....if you want it to be a write off (go dizzy shopping) nip over the road and tell them to do the job propperly, and then park just oppersit there drive way, keep your fingers crossed. either that, while no one is looking add a few more dents here and there....nudge,nudge, whink, whink.....lol      8)

I get a whistling on mine sometimes too Barry.. on the drivers side near the windscreen post. I thought the door was a little bent outa shape.. but when I looked at it more.. I think that it is the hinge that has been bent a bit near the weld.

Probably the bloke who owned it before me has let the door swing open a little too much too often.

Ah well... adds to the Charectar
