Hi guys, when i turn the engine off on my series 3 diesel it leaks a small amount of diesel out and ends up on the drive does anyone know what this is caused by i have suspisions of it coming out of the fuel pump.
Cheers

Could be a number of places, diesel can run almost everywhere before dropping off.
Have a feel round, as you say fuel pump, filter, the return pipe system from the injectors is a common prob bad washer, happens on on eof mine about every 6 weeks
If you cant locate it, wash the whole area down, let it dry and run it up, then look and feel round for a wet patch

do you have any problems with air getting in the system?
problems starting, that sort of thing
-
I have no problems at all the engine runs fine.
-
in that case i would suggest that your leak is on the return side of the fuel system, which isnt pressurised much so can be an arse to find any leaks

You can fix this for about £1.50, buy the drive a bag of sand to soak up the diesel, works wonders for oil as well.

we used to find diesel leaks by cleaning the engine down , blowing it dry with the air line and then blowing it over with a powder fire extinguisher . Works a treat !....Al

or talcum powder - it's cheaper unless you nick the extinguisher!!
