At the Billing LRO show I noticed a multitude of Defender and Discovery steering wheels knocking around. I'd really prefer to fit one of these as they are smaller radius and more comfortable to use. The boss on them is different to the series but the question is - can you fit a defender steering column to a Series steering box.
thanks
Matt

nope.
totally different.

I read on another message board that you can fit a 200TDi steering wheel from an early Defender onto a Series steering column...

The easiest an cheapest was is to locate a montego/maestro wheel, they will drop straight on, just remember rip out that horrible badge from the centre boss
Paddocks etc do have other wheels and centre bosses to suit though

I have a mountney (sp?) wheel on mine, about 2 inch smaller diameter than standard. It is a bit heavy, but then it saves me from going to the gym!
