Title: Steering

ok Old joes playing up again

the steering seems to be going heavy and light especialy towards the nearside i thought it was the power steering pump but doesn't seem to be that will get into the Drs next week.

checked power steering fluid and tyres all ok next

any ideas.

If it's "knotchy" as you turn the wheel then look at the steering shaft U/Js, try some light oil on them and leave it overnight to soak in.  :wink:

I agree Dazza. Mine goes stiff occasionally (usually after a good mud bath). After spraying the U/J's with some liquid grease and it frees up nicely :wink:  Gotta be worth a try.

If the UJ's don't reveal anything, try taking the steering damper off.  A bent or damaged damper can cause a 'notch'
