Title: Doughnut on 300 rear prop shaft
Post by: Jake on November 17, 2005, 21:28:49
Whats the score with the rubber doughnut on the rear prop on a 300 disco?
Is it essential?
Mines looking a bit ropey, should i replace it?
Can i get rid of it?
Do i need to change the rear prop if i get rid of it or does the prop just bolt together with out it?
Advice please.
 :D

I replaced mine recently (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=11572&start=75) and the difference was very noticeable :)

As you have got lifted suspension, I would suggest you get a 200tdi prop and output flange. The lift puts more strain on the doughnut and cause all sorts of vibrations...
