I surprised you find the C500 pants.  For the first time EVER, when it was renewal time I got the same phone as I already had, a C500.

I've always been a sucker for mobiles, often upgrading early at great expense.  The C500 has been brilliant.

C550 is the next step up from your C500 new software better screen resolution and better camera also has bigger memory - the mp3 wil hold about 500 tracks with memory card as its geared towards music player market

plus its all shiny and new

I got a Sony Ericsson K600i free from Orange.  It syncs great with Outlook (calendar & contacts) - they provide a sync util with it or you can use the older XtendConnect software which you can download from the Sony Ericsson website - I find the older software better.

It's also 3G, does video calls if you want and has a vaguely usable camera.  I find it very easy to use.

I've tried Windows-based mobiles in the past and found them virtually unusable - far too complicated for their own good!

I have a Nokia 6600, that swaps all its details with outlook, and it knows which you have updated, you can update phone from outlook, outlook from phone, or update to latest, so if you've changed one number or address on outlook and one on the phone, it will update both outlook and the phone.

The newer Nokias in the 6000 range all have the same feature.

Recently changed from a C500 to a Nokia 6680 - I can't help it, I'm a Nokia guy at heart

The Nokia data suite does all the synchronising (email, addresses, pictures, etc).

Just to add to the mix, the Manager has one of them Palm Trio things and syncs that with OL. He seems to get on really well with it. Can't comment on the camera though.

cheers
