anyone seen The Sun paper today? theres a small article in there about an LPG rangie that caught fire at the filling station  small child had to be rescued from the fire as well
-
Havent seen it yet
hope every 1 was ok
its said that lpg is safer than petrol
wonder what caused it
some cheap parts going???
-
reports say everyone ok the rangie looked a bit sick as it was tricked up for offroad by the look of it story here http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2005530879,00.html but pic is in the paper
-
weird, LPG "harder" to burn than petrol  -Glad everyone OK
-
My BIL's Rangie went up in smoke recently - 4.9 with LPG. He had a bit of smoke appear through the dash, so pulled over. Then lots of smoke. Bailed out and called the fire brigade. Watched as the whole thing burnt out. Don't know cause
-
Normally its not the gas that causes the fires, and there is only low pressure at the feed end near the engine, its more than likely an electrical type problem at first
Dave a pm for you mate
-
probably a cheapo kit badly fitted with no vent pipe
it says the car filled up with LPG, any properly fitted kit shouldnt allow that to happen.
-
Agreed, even whe I fitted the kit in the lightweight, I had to double line the pipes to and from the tank, most of the time the top is off anyway and when its on its a draughty anyway
-
you have to remember that this story is in the Sun.
the rangerover might have caught fire, while it was filling the tank up with gas, but the Sun will have put 2 and 2 together and got 2384523576234
