todays was a con.
no way could they have finished them trucks in one hour and where did the roll cages sudenly apear from.
next weeks will be ace. rock crawlers. yay.

i think one of the rules of Scrapheap challenge has always been that safety equipment and fuel is always provided without having to find it, therefore there is always a load of lovely optima batteries available as well as bucket safety seats, presumably this also means the building of rollcages is allowed outside the time (might even be doen by safety experts rather than bodgers)


I think it is also accepted that "tinkering time" conforms to universal microsoft time (totally unrelated to real time).

Don't forget this is a TV programme !

It would make for very dull viewing if one or both of the teams didn't finish a build at all.

That's why they always seed the "heap" with suitable "scrap", that's why the experts already have designed ready prepped and why as you say there is always a ready supply of new items which otherwise wouldn't be available... like batteries, roll cage material, safety seats and harnesses where needed.
