Title: BTM Is Leicester Bound. Again
Post by: Bush Tucker Man on November 21, 2005, 22:35:49
Yes, it's true Leicester-ites, I'm going down again this week
Friday mid-morning will see SWMBO & myself heading down the M1 to your erm..fair city

Apparantly, I'm being shown the delights of Market Harborough first, Joanne reckons it's a lovely little town. (& getting shown the Hospital she's 'building')
There may well be a side-trip to Husband Bosworth.

We'll be stopping at the Holiday Inn again, at St Nicolas Circle, as she's got all her 'points' to use (stops there so often th staff know her name, she's there tonight as well)

The original 'Leicester Bound' (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=11445) thread (for referance)

We need recommendations for eating out on Friday night in the centre of Leicester, as I think she's getting fed-up of the Holiday Inn food.

I'll be the chap walking around wearing the 'Professional Yorkshireman' t-shirt

And the reason we're coming down south?

Is there really nowhere that's worth suggesting to go out for dinner in Leicester??

C'mon, someone must know an establishment

BTM - there are loads of places to eat and at reasonable prices. I recommend 'Brussels Bar' which is 5 minutes walk from Holiday Inn. Its an old theatre converted into a  Belgian Pub serving Belgian beers as well as regular ones. I go there quite often as I enjoy Moule Mariniere which they do well. Prices are ok too which is a bonus. You may want to book.

The alcohol side of it holds no interest for me at all, but thanks

Apparently the best curry house in Leicester is in the village i live in, wouldn't know though because i ain't been there.

It has won loads of awards, Countesthorpe  think it's called 'Dine India' but then i might be wrong.

Just about to log-off until Saturday night   (whatever will you do without me??)

Weather dependant we'll be setting off 'down south' about 10:00 in the morning, as Joanne wants to show me Market Harborough, and then call at PC World on the Fosse Park Trading Estate as she'd been told they've got some good deals on external Hard-Drives (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=14549)

Wish me luck, or write envious posts

If it's damp, let alone wet, 340bhp & no traction control in fairly short wheel-based car will most definately be fun   :(scared):  :(scared):  :(scared):

I'll tell you all the tale when we get back
