Title: Landies Landies Landies
Post by: Tailendcharley on November 22, 2005, 11:43:21
:) Hi,

I came across (by accident) a garage over the weekend in Market Weighton,East Yorkshire...the garage was full of ex Army vehicles including about 200 ex Army split screen Landy Ambulances...judging by the amount of muck and dirt on these vehicles it was very obvious that they had been there for some time...I was just wondering what was going to happen with these vehicles...Billy no Mates :cry:  :(  :(

Was there any sign of a name to this garage?

:D  :D Yes there was but at the time I did'nt get it thinking that all Landy owners would know about it...it's only about 6 miles from where I live so if anyone wants to know I'll make a trip out there and get the details...Billy no Mates :(  :(

Blanchards.

Just had a search in the internet, it would seem its these people:

P A Blanchard & Co.
Peter Blanchard
Telephone 01430 872765
http://www.pablanchard.co.uk/

I thought for a minute it was an undiscovered stash in a garage, lost and unloved, rip for a new owner  :wink:

'Drum' beat me to it, it's actually Shiptonthorpe & is on Clay Lane.
I called a couple of weeks ago on my way back from Bishop Burton & Market Weighton.

Peter Blanchard owns a brace of the rarest Landies around;
2 Centaurs!! Mega-beasts
He's got a row of about 30-35 Series Ambulances that probably haven't moved in 5years

Great garage, apparantly if you ask very nicely you can get to see all the rarities
