Title: Safari Snorkel
Post by: JD LWB on November 23, 2005, 23:04:22
Does anyone know whether Safari make a snorkel to fit a Series 2?

Or if they don't, is there one that can be adapted to fit?

When I was hunting around I couldnt find a decent snorkel kit for a series 3.  I used drain pipe and a pug 309 gti air filter box in the end...

Good luck with the hunt!

You can make a Safari Snorkel for a Defender fit a Series simply enough.  You need to change the Series air box for something like a box from a 90 / Defender.

The southdown snorkel will also fit a Series, as will the Mantec one.

Thanks Tim

I think I'll pick up a Safari Defender one when I get out to OZ and make it fit.

Not sure what I'll do about the airbox until I see it properly (It's got the Holden straight 6 in it)

Hopefully, they will be cheaper out there as that's where they're made.
