Title: Where does all the oil go?
Post by: LeanneNCharlie on November 25, 2005, 21:26:18
My Vitara constantly needs topping up with oil. Thre is no oil leaks in, and it doesn't appear to be burning any, but still needs filling up at least once a month. Does this happen to anyone else :!:  :?:

What ya need is a Landy, you can see where the oil goes then.

Good to know it's just a suzuki thing and not anything requiring a bank loan!

No just make sure you keep a can of oil in the back and check it periodically then it won't turn into a problem. It can help to check the rear end every now and again to make sure your exhaust is not blue or black or any other colour (i've seen purple!!!) as this could indicate engine problems...

and just think, when it get so bad that you change the 5ltrs ina 6 month period, you only need to to change the filter to do an oil change cos it rotates itself over 6 months :D
