just got back from glass pub meet, the landlord was very nice, and explained about the new licenceing law regarding children. he says nobody under 16 is allowed in the pub after 10 o clock, we asked if that was the same when you sat out side he said he thought so. we don't take our children to pubs at night very often but find having to go home at 10 o clock very dissapointing, we organize the notts pub meet and sometimes have to take our kids why can yobs drink till early hours in the morning yet familys forced to go home at 10 o clock? :? :?
me thinks a rethink of venues for familys may be needed!

Sorry I couldn't make tonights meet Debbie,
Only just got in from 'socialising'
My nephew (that I brought to the last meet) is only 15 so I would have had the same problem as you, as it is now way warm enough to sit outside that late
Hope you all had a good time, and sorted some good routes for Christmas

presumably the reason <15s aren't allowed is EXACTLY because the yobs can drink all night, not a great idea to mix the two....
Theres a pub in town near me where the toilets are upstairs (disabled loo downstairs though) but after 6pm kids aren't allowed upstairs so they have to be accompanied, but incredibly the pub is only a few years old, seems really badly designed to me.
