Well, I blasted well did  Left Newquay at 3.45pm and got home to Gloucester at 4am Saturday. Thanks Cornwall, next time take heed of severe weather warnings and get those gritters and snow ploughs out where they should be!

I didn't get stuck in snow, but I got stuck in traffic. It took me two hours to get from work about 2 miles along the main road. As soon as I got to a turning off the main road and on to the back roads, it was easy.
It wasn't the snow that was the problem, it was the sheer number of people panicing and trying to go home at once then getting scared by the slushy road and driving like pillocks.

That's what happened to Esther
traffic!!!!
I drove down to Cornwall to take food and a hot flask to Esther.
I couldn't see why the traffic on the A30 heading westward (just south of Bodmin) were stopped.
I came over the moor to Launceston and down the A30, put my beacons on and followed the gritters. But there were some boneheads that drove like idiots. No idea how to drive in snow. We were hoping Sian Berry and her anti's were stuck, that could have been lucrative!!!!

She's cool, or rather.. warm god its so nice to have a motor with a heater :!: very comfy and quick, takes a bit of getting used to tho, made a funny rattling noise when traction was lost earlier, paniced thinking the gear box was about to fall out but realised its the abs / traction control thingy that kicks in instead of having a diff lock. Complex things these, not like my tractor(esk) defender.
