MC is simply the best, i was on a few other clubs/forums but dont bother with them much anymore. Mud-Clubbers are a very friendly bunch. I even behave and am friendly to folks when i represent the club.
3 cheers for the 3 musketerrs me thinks (Thrasher/Datalas/Muddyweb)

The Mud-Club is fun, friendly, and free.
It's more than just an online forum, it's a 4x4 community :D
This is one reason we have set up the pub meets, to try to show that there are real people hiding behind these usernames.
To all involved with the running of Mud-Club - Well Done, keep up the good work, we all appreciate it =D> =D>

Not just them... there are plenty of people who do a lot of work beyond what the three of us do. Mud-Club is what *we* make it... all of us... the original founders, the admins, the moderators, the club reps, event organisers and the members who contribute so much.
Sounds a bit soppy, but it is true...

I totally agree. Somebody had to have the initial idea and skills to set it up and that is what i was acknowledging. And the guts to have a free club with no real rules.
-
And only another 15 to go til 3000 members!!
-
I must say that all the people i have met that are connected to Mud-Club have been decent likeable people , i have made many friends in a short space of time -but after all is said and done we all have a common bond =MUD MUD glorious MUD, I am proud to have the Mud-Club logo on my Rover 90, BUT im still not going to buy you DISCO ---PUX My8

At a guess not many i seem to see all the same (faces) names on a regular weeks input, im going for 200 regulars, :? :?
-
I'd be suprised if it was that many to be honest
-
Quite possibly, but Mud-Club isn't just about the forum. There are a fair few active club members who rarely visit the forum. That's what makes this a club !
As mentioned in other threads the membership databases are being updated anyway, so we will have a much better idea of how many current members we have.

If you look at some of the posts on the forum, you will see they are from things like 'new recruits' that have been registered since 2003 - still a member, probably reading lots, just not replying very often. I've had quite a few people replying to my topic (about a pub meet), or by PM, from members who I hadn't seen before. There are lots out there
-
i've used this site so much from my work that it has been blocked by the corporate proxy server :)
so i have to use a backdoor to get out to it
-
Been a member of MC for a while now but when I was a newbie everyone was so welcoming...none of that's changed was also a member of other forums/clubs and these was none quite so friendly as MC
Well done for the excellent work lads!

I've heard speople on here before saying they have had the site blocked at work......
I can't remember who it was now, is it easy for you to tell us how you did it?
Alternately, if I can remember who it was, do you mind if they PM you?
-
Mud-club is a club that doesn't need promoting, it promotes itself.
I don't think it's popular because it's free, I feel it's the members wanting to do things and no-one throwing hurdles up to dampened their enthusiasm is the key to the club's success. Everyone is treated as an adult and not as a child here, although we're all kids at heart and love playtime

tbh, my solution is specific to the place where i work
the internet security is very lame, all i have to do is point my browser at a secret proxy server that isnt supposed to exist anymore, but someone accidently turned it back on

but someone accidently turned it back on
Hmmm, someone? Accidently?

I shall have to do my best to change that then!
