150 miles away so can't offer physical help -
what are the symptoms?
won't turn over?
won't fire?
-
It WAS turning over and then it just stopped, i assume the starter is locked in engaged.
The thing hasn't been started for 4 months until i tried on saturday, i did the oil and water before i started but i assume the starter needs pulling off and refitting.
Either that or it needs a good pull to bump start, prolly be best done with a bump. Though that all said i was ahving problems keeping the battery charged, again could be starter related though the damn thing has a new alternator and starter and even a new-ish battery and all new leads and cables.
So not really sure whats wrong with it just think it needs a bump to get it started and then hopefully the starter will behave itself and then maybe i can work out whats wrong with the battery going flat all the time.
Cheers in advance

Hi did it struggle to start?
if so the battery may not be a full charge ?
give the starter a knock wit a hammer see if it will release its self!
wot engine is it ???
-
Where in Leicester are you Smog?
-
smog mate did u get goin in the end and wot was the prob out of intrest???
-
Beat ten bells out of the starter and it did nothing, and NOPE it ain't started.
I jumped it off another motor and it still just won't make the starter turn over, the starter ain't that old either (6months) worked fine until i left the motor stand for a few months.
I live in Countesthorpe.
Cheers in advance

Does the solenoid click?
-
No it doesn't click, if it did i would say the battery was flat.
What the problem is, is the starter is stuck and needs taking off coating in WD40 and refitting.
I have bashed at it as best i can but as i said before i am too ill to be underneath stripping it off, if i can't convince someone to give me a hand or even tow the thing it will just have to wait till i am feeling better in a month or two
OR i need a tow start, this should release the starter and SHOULD make all things well again.
Cheers
