Title: Grand parent's and parents

Popped around to see my mother last night i though what with it being nearly XMAS and all that best pop round me being a good son.

so chatting away my mum starts getting a bit panicky because my gran had called in she always calls at 18:00 no matter what, wait untill 6:15 my mum starts thinking the worst call my grans neighbours they report back no signs of life anywhere in the house.

My mum gets worried and upset so me being the good son say's i'll drive down and check on her  as you can imagine my brain thinks i'm going to find her no longer on this earth and gone to a better place so on the drive from Mk to Slough you start preparing yourself for the worst get your mind focussed and think ok lets get the job done.

so i pull up and outside her house in Slough start putting my Gloves (being ST John) on and she opens the b####y door i nearly have a heart attack and all i could say was you're supposed to be deceased call her every name under the sun purley because of sheer relief adrenaline drains from like fuel from a V8 and i come back down to earth.

so i make the phone calls to advise she had been in a deep sleep and hadn't heard the phone nor the front door my grans neighbour advises half of slough had heard the banging thinking it was november 5th.

so i get back home totally drained and think there is a morale to this story. as of yet i have been able to think of one.

next time i think i'll call jake and tufftee and set up a light house outside her door and set of our car horns to see if she hears.

That might have been a real pain in the backside, but at least she is still with you  :wink:

My inlaws are going through the same with SWMBO's Grandma, they are finding it a pain too.

You'll have to connect the phone to an air raid siren, that will wake her  :lol:

trieyed that one all i got was i couldn't hear you :D

you don't have to shout i'm not deaf i only have tinnitus what was that you said i can't hear him ARRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!! :twisted:  :(mad):

i have threatened my mother if she gets to that stage i'm emigrating by the time i've shouted from australia she wont come out with the comment of there no need to shout i'm not deaf

sorry guys just sheer joys of parents froma 32 year old
