Title: rocker cover gasket

Looks like I've blown out the rocker cover gasket on the 90 so a few questions

(1) how easy to replace
(2)how much to replace
(3)would any one like to do it for me


ok so I'll take that as a no for 3 then

1) its so easy a matter of a few bolts
2) not sure about cost but would imagine cheap
3) i will do it if u pay my air fare up to and pay enought to stright out and buy a fully preped 90  :lol:

1) Undo three nuts, remove rocker cover, clean both faces, fit new gasket, refit rocker cover and torque the nuts...

2) Cost.... a couple of quid for the gasket

3) If you drive to me I would... only 199 miles each way - unless your paying parts cost, labour costs and £1 per mile for me driving to you.  :D

Errr ....

Personally, I'd be worrying about how I'd "blown" the gasket, since there's not supposed to be much pressure up there..

unless it's just seeping out, in which case it's dead easy.

I feel some expense coming on  :?
What should I be looking for?
think its just been overfiled with oil which I've been told can cause pressure to build up under rocker cover
If it has then thats my fault but anything else I should look at ?

That could do it, but sometimes they just leak, the cork can just give up the ghost especially if its been on there for ages, refit a new one and keep an eye on it, if it pops a new one, then start to wonder

looking at it think its been there a while.
so thats this weekends job that and hopefully I'll get my rocksliders fitted
