Title: Under the thumb?
Post by: Ja1983 on December 06, 2005, 17:28:25: come to my attention that a few folks on here are restricted in their off-road antics by their partners! will freely hold my hand up and say i`m one, but its ok, cos if she didnt i`d be sat with a john deere on the drive, with no fuel in the tank! lol

...so go-on, who else is gunna admit it?! :lol:

The physical scars are fading, Tim, but the mental torture continues unabated :lol:

It was a sad sight.... I was out there with the rubbing compound the moment we got home! Still, you can sort of sympathise with Sarah, she had only bought it 3 days before I scratched in on the Peddars Way :twisted: That one was bright red. The one she traded it in for last Sunday is black..... now *that* will show the scratches :D

not only does my old bat encourage me,she comes out with me,helps with the unloading,takes the photo's and helps with the loading at the end.
SHE ALSO MAKES SURE THERE'S PLENTY OF FOOD

Yeah- I wanted to go to Avon Dasset last Sunday but got talked out out it to go Xmas shopping instead! SWMBO is usually okay with my 4x4 antics though- didn't even complain when the car was raised 6" higher- though she does wonder where the side steps went......

And she does have an aversion to 'Bits' in the house - shame she was in hospital when the paras and shocks arrived (weeelll...they were only in the living room for a week or so. )

Doesn't see how I can spend so long on Mud-Club either!!

She was'nt too keen on m=y S3 but likes my Rangie, she has agreed to me getting a Disco soon ( I might get a Defender) tee Hee!! :P

She likes her Frontera, it has had a gentle off road only cos its new and shiny and leased!!! :twisted:

In fact I encourage him as I enjoy the off roading etc. myself. We now have three landys, one of them belongs to me and I am looking at purchasing a new one to replace my mondeo in the new year so I think I can be classed as one of those who is not a SWMBO and I thoroughly object when Johnty calls me one! :P
