Did any of you read james May in Saturdays motoring Telegraph? It seem his Range Rover self heals when things go wrong. Strange thing is my hybrid has started doing the same. For months the light in the speedo has not worked, well today I went out to buy a Christmas tree and it has started working again. Wow.

After one very hard day offroad my central locking stopped working. Locked it manually and left it as was knackered. In the morning didnt gave it a second thought just hit the remote and it worked!
Weird or what!

We should run a pole to see who has the most intermittant faults (Sorry, endearing characteristics).
-
Are you trying to snarl up this forum, intermittent faults...................its a Landrover thing ,they are the only factory fitted option that actually works..
-
The lights in the 101 all stopped working yesterday, and when I went out to try to fix them today, they were all working again.
-
When I first picked up the hybrid, I was plagued with electrical faults, from a faulty ignition switch to non working indicators.
I put it down to lack of use and being parked in a damp field for some time. Now after a lot of cursing and faffing about I seem to be on top of the bits and bobs, even ventured out after dark last night, and all seems ok, just got to wire up an indicator warning light to confirm that the things actually now do flash, instead of looking on the rear panel of the car in front for the reflection, thank god for wd40

nothing works on my disco.....nothing at all....
maybe it's got something to do with the battery has been taken out and half the engine is in my kitchen....

Must be model specific. Rangies self heal. Discos have auto fault replacement (fix a fault, develop another).
Wonder what the series models have ?
-
I have a intermmitent fault on my indcators when i use them the light gos on and then gos off and then it comes back on again all on its own.

If the series I had are they just keep going forever.Untill they cough and
DIE never to see life again(complete rebuilds asides)

if things didnt go wrong, we`d have nothing to do, no excuses to get out of the way of the missus, and we`d be rich and stress free... so stop complaining you lot!
mine has an intermitant problem, the fuel guage is a bit of an optimist at times, can show just over red and it starts chugging.. then it will go down beyond the red and do another 10 miles.. (depends if i`ve sworna t it or not.. gets cross easily!)

Do you spray WD40 on the car in front for a good reflection then? (sorry - on the baileys at the mo! hic).
