this is the missus' xmas present..
yes it cost a lot.. half of what i sold the disco for...
he's called herman.. but my son calls him "bites" cos thats what he does all day.. friggin bites everyone and everything!
-
Aaaahhhhh....
How is the fluid leakage, compared to the Disco?
-
What is he, looks a bit like a St Bernard!!!
-
yeh he is a st bernard
not a runt either but one of the normal ones this time (hence the cost)
leaks a bit but he does hint that he wants to go out cos he wanders casually to do the door
if u dont run, he stops and downloads on the kitchen floor
not pooed in our house but plenty of the yellow snow making stuff
however he has dumped twice on the mother-in-law's carpets
GO ON MY SON! ;)
trystan is covered in scratches but its his fault for sitting on the mutt
-
Cool Dog 8) . Rufus my Airedale had to be killed Saturday, missing him just a little bit  .
-
Aawwwww ......... dear Santa can I have a Doggy for Xmas.
-
Ruddy dogs - we said we wouldn't have any more when the two whippets died earlier this year (16 years old) and then ended up inheriting a 12 year old Pug when my father died.
They're a bigger tie than the kids used to be!
Can't imagine the house without a dog at all though!! Even SWMBO (who said 'we can't keep her') has softened 'just a bit - in fact she's sitting with an elderly fat pug laying under her legs even as I type! :)
-
He's a cutie
Think of the slobber he'll be able to produce when he's bigger
-
thing is
i own a boarding kennels
so i dont like any dog!
esp terriers and weimaraners (both untrustworthy and in the case of latter, non-stop bark and vicious!)
many customers buy the weins cos they think they look cute, not thinking this is a dog which needs excersize and grows as big as a dally
JR's though are the worse cos they think they're hard, even with giant breeds
i mean how thick is that, thinking you can beat a dog whose paw is bigger than your head!
one tried it with our old st bernard
never tried it again
ours wanted to eat it
-
Had Rotties for many years (got a Mastiff now), one of them used to hassled by JRs and Westies all the time, taught himself to pick them up by the scruff of the neck and chuck them about 10'
-
I have had GSD's since 1976, still have the breed but got thoese now too
-
Awwww nice pup .... my lot are all OAP's now the youngest Spinone is 8 and my 2 oldies are 12.
But the youngest in the house is a mut heinze 57 and a complete head case....
Not satisfied with a stick isnt jake .... oh no he brings you fence posts and complete branches.
Took him half the day to drag a branch across the yard the other day it was so big.
Oh and we got the big hooved variety as well.
jan xx

Awwww, cute dawgie! He's gonna be a smasha when he's bigger. Coool. 8)
Magnificent horse too, Mr MM2020. Shire? (I'm not as 'up' on my heavy breeds as I was....).
Yo, SYL, you're right about Wiemmies. Definate case of seperation anxiety with them. There's a German folk saying that a friend of mine came accross when he was training a Weimmy for a paying customer. Literally translated it went 'buy a Wiemeraner and never go to the toilet alone again'. How true is that!
Mind you our 'adopted' ('part time') Shepard can be as bad!
Must convince Mrs Eeyore that dog ownership is the way forward! Having said that, Katy is doing a fair job of that herself!
cheers

I used to Keep and Breed German Shepherds Many moons ago In my Married Years! Love em to Bits!
But my all time favourites are Springers!
None at the Mo as circumstances are'nt right?
-
awwwww cute doggy :D my fav is a labrador tho
gorgeous horse as well, cant wait till i have my own again O:)
-
Never been without a dog for most of my life.
Had a team of Great Danes at one bit (two harlequin bitches and a massive blue dog). The old bitch used to get in the passenger seat of the Reliant Robin runabout . . . . that used to turn a few heads I can tell you
Now got a Black Dog of unknown origin and species but looks to have a lot of border collie in him and that dog just loves the Discovery. Can't get in without him diving in the back. Goes everywhere outdoors with me . . . couldn't get rid of him if I tried
Mans best mate - always there for you and never answers back . . . more than I can say for the missus . . . bless her
-
wel also have a springer spaniel
very good hoover when trystan decides his food is best put on the floor and not kept on the plate.
she doesnt like the pup at the mo but i told her the other night that give it 5months and it will be the size of a labrador and bigger than her
and a jaw strong enough to brake bones ;)
excellent robber deterrent, big enough to handle himself and jaws strong enough to cause damage!
allegedly ;)
-
Nice doggy!
Great breed if you have the room, it will probably be the size of shetland pony by next crimbo....
I have a manic springer spaniel myself, thinks he has discovered the secret of perpetual motion. Unfortunately also thinks he should fight every and any dog he happens to meet. He tried to drag my 110 across a camping field to get at a pair of rottweilers...
Bob wants a staffordshire bull terrier, one of my favourite breeds, but only when Odie has gone to the big doggie park in the sky, we haven't got the room for two canine nutcases in the house!
-
Nice pooch Dyfed :D

We've got 2 manic Border Collies.
Jack (http://community.webshots.com/photo/96560012/125841593PzNxZf) & Gypsy (http://community.webshots.com/photo/96560012/152377033fyIoIs) ('Small-Child' also comes under 'Domestic Pets' )
When they 'go', I quite fancy a DeerHound (http://community.webshots.com/photo/96560012/134307168VHOBBR), or GreyHound.
SWMBO says no more Dogs though
-
Pat pat pat
:(contented):
Miss having a dog or five around.
-
Nice pooch
just watch out when he gets older...I remember a girlfriends parents had one, sat in front of you waiting for a biscuit, and droping drool straight into my coffee that was sat on the floor
That's why we use the coffee table was the comment...
-
The big horse is a Clydesdale and he stands in at 18hh,2in, and his weight is around 875 k's. I got a Shetland too.
-
Meet my dog Barney
-
however he has dumped twice on the mother-in-law's carpets
GO ON MY SON! ;)
trystan is covered in scratches but its his fault for sitting on the mutt
:(biglaugh):
I'm a golden retriever man really, but it's just not practical for us at the moment.
Quite fancy one of those huge Newfoundland (http://www.newfdogclub.org/) things though - like a cross between a St Bernard, Black Lab and Retriever to look at. Apparently they swim like a dolphin (well, nearly) and are used in water rescues.
-
Joe90 - I want your dog!
-
he's a bit bigger than that now - and we've cured the faulty liquid seals :D (Got another 2 at home!)
-
Meet my dog Barney
The hat's too big for him, or is that in case he gets 'caught short'?
-
in case he get caught short, cant have him messing the inside of the clean motor
-
This is ''Tryst of Tyson'' (tysie in our house), mad as a hatter, charges around at 40mph & at nearly 4 stone can do lots of damage, but he is swmbo's 'baby' so he can't do no harm  ,
For those of you who do not follow football thats a villa top & cap he's wearing, he's only 18months old at the mo, so got a bit more growing to do yet, hopefully will breed him soon (get some of my cash back  ),
Btw love all the other mutt's seen on here & the horse, my youngest would just love a horse but we live in a little terraced house in the middle of Brum no can do,
John.
-
Gotta love the shirt and hat, although i think he would look better in Notts County colours

Had various dogs in my life. Favorites Alsations and Border Collies. Hate Jack Russels. When my last Alsation (Kelly), was alive the couple across the way inherited his mothers JR. I had to fence MY garden to keep their dog OUT. It would come yapping across the green, through our hedge and attack my dog. You'd end up with seeing JR's head sticking out one side of Kellys mouth and tail out t'other. She never hurt it though. Drop it at my feet and I'd sling it back over the hedge. Best bit was, he went round saying I had a dangerous dog.
