Hi guys,
Well I took the nearside one off when I did the snorkel, and havent put it back yet, I was just looking at my rattly exhaust and discovered that the off side one is missing as well, probably when it had the inner wing welded. Is there a problem with not having any? Just get the jet wash in there a bit more often to get rid of the crap.
Any thoughts appreciated.

I took mine out when I fitted the snorkle and waxoled it at the same time and never bothered to fit them, its SWMBO truck so the closest it gets to off-roading when she drives it is clipping the kirb( about ever 100m :lol: )
so it dos'nt get really muddy so its not an issue...if you off road regulary I'd put then back in, makes it easier to clean, just make sure you get the gunk from under the lip every now and then to stop it rotting

I have just had both inner wings on my rangie welded because of these plastic inserts holding the mud behind them.
as a result i have pulled them out of the discovery and was told just to make sure that the inner wing was well washed after off roading

When I fitted the Devon Wheelarch Flares they had to come out but as there was so much cr@p getting in there & onto the front of the door frames, + we are on an island with salt in the air, I got some bits of plastic and made a new set that fit the new flares.
No problems so far! :wink:

I prefer not to have them, just make sure the jetwash goes inside the wheelarch quite often. I think they are a rust trap so I prefer to be able to see the underside and keep it well waxoled. If you can get it, Dinitro do a really good underbody wax, beats waxoil hands down.
