hi everyone,,,,
Have got a little problem with my rangey{3.9i auto.1991}.
The problem being that once we have a really cold night{-2 etc}first thing that morning my dear little thing wont start..
Have changed the plugs, checked the leads, changed temp sensor, but still getting the same problems...
But will start any other time all the time ,but not once we had freezing weather the night before...
when i go back to the rangey say mid morning,it will start....
ANYONE GOT ANY GOOD IDEAS or simular problems that were solved..
i know its not major but really frustrating when you wanna get up to go fishing and the beast wont start..
many thanks ..gringo

Have you checked the comresssion? a worn engine may not give the right compression when very cold.
Also check the timing, retarded timing makes starting easier.

Had a similar problem with a 3.5 efi, was water sat in the fuel filter freezing, cant remember how the filter sits on the 3.9, worth draining for a look before spending though.
