Title: A thought at Christmas
Post by: Reaper on December 21, 2005, 20:29:34
The Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought dosn't come from a store. What if Christmas perhaps...............means a little bit more!

Seuss spoilt a wonderful story with that silly ending.

It all went wrong when Grinchy got chest-pains

Having said that, I will be watching Patrick Stewart as Scrooge on Saturday 24th, he's worth watching in anything

Dr Seuss's ABC books come to mind....

O is very useful.
You use it when you say:
"Oscar's only ostrich oiled
an orange owl today"

Painting pink pyjamas.
Policeman in a pail.
Peter peppers puppy.
And now
Papa's in the pail.

blimey even i remember it ....
