Anybody know what size bolt should hold the PanHard Arm??
I've just rebushed in and the holes aren't big enough in the new bushes!! Guess who butchered the old ones getting them out :(

Upto (V)2A626645 M14x80
From (V)2A626646 M16x82

I've destroyed the old bushes getting them out, and I think the ones I've put in are M14 holes, and the ones I've destroyed are M16, and what the odds of me finding the right ones the day before Christmas locally?? Sweet FA.
Do you reckon I can drill a polybush?? If so I can put the old steel tubes into the new polybushes?? At least as a temporary solution.
BTW Thanks for the quick response Paul.

Get on the phone tomorrow and have a ring round.
Don't bodge it.
Bush should be: RYG101460 (But check it)
Good luck.

Thanks Paul, I took them out as part of the sorting front end, and poly bush it while i'm there. It was meant to be a relatively simple job just take a couple of hours this afternoon. So much for that. Obviously my preference to get some Polybushes that are the right size, failing that get some normal ones.
And if that fails then I might have to drill the polybushes just for over the Xmas period. :(

I know what you mean... Simple jobs often end up taking longer than expected.

If you have to drill the poly bushes, try putting them in the freezer for a couple of hours first. It should make them stiffer and easier to drill.

They're already in the Panhard Arm :(

Open the holes out with a rotary burr in a die grinder or a dremel. The finish won't be perfect but it'll be a lot easier than trying to drill them.

Bushes now out of the Rod, and in the Freezer :)

eck polly bushes aint cheap not what you want to be drilling if it can be avoided :?

Quite agree, but the few people I did manage to speak to before closing time would suggest that I may have no option, the new larger bushes are rare as rocking horse in this neck of the woods apparently :(
And besides the polybushes are no use to me if they're the wrong size, so I've lost nothing adjusting them, even if it's only a temp measure untill I get the real thing.
