Sounds good to me.
Although I am wondering how long it'll be before the plum that got the boot off the plane will try and sue!!!
Or he'll sell his "story" to some paper about how he was badly treated!!!!
-
Shame they landed before they kicked him out
-
Bound to be a Brit bringing shame on us all!
Ban alcohol on all flights!
-
But it's not the alcohol on the plane all the time!!!! How many bars are at the airports??
Although admittedly the extra booze on the plane doesn't help.

Beat me to it
I expect he'll have to pay for his 'accomodation' whilst he's there, the ferry & flight home, if any company will accept him on board??
-
yeh the guy will think monarch is being unreasonable
they need chuck norris on each flight to sort the baddies out
-
Looks like he got charged and released
The man was later charged by police in Madeira - a neighbouring island to Portuguese controlled Porto Santo - and could face a prison term.

Right!! Now we'll have those ***** of Fair Trials Abroad telling us that the Portuguese are torturers, and yadda, yadda, yadda.
Did the same last time a briton was arrested in Spain.
-
as fletcher once said
can't do the time don't do the crime
throw the book at him bringing a plane load of people at risk, he should also pay the extra fuel costs and compensation. that will make him think twice
the airline staff take enough abuse they do top class job and everytime i've flown they've been excellent can't do enough for you.

Whats wrong woth getting trollied on a flight abroad........just because some glorified Maccy D assistant has a power trip and the Pilot thinks he's Biggles on a Political correctness trip...........

You are right, but if a passenger arrives on the plane drunk, they can be refused access. Once on the plane things get a lot more complicated. We saw what a couple of people can do on a plane (9/11) and I am sure we have all seen how a seriously drunk persons reason goes out of the window! Is it really worth the risk?
