Title: Alternator reconditioner in Birmingham - West Midlands

Can anyone suggest or recommend someone for reconditioning my alternator in Birmingham or West Midlands area? The bearings have decided to pack up on mine :roll:

Going to try Vehicle Electrics in Acocks Green tomorrow but not sure of what sort of price I'm going to be looking at and whether a new alternator would be a cheaper alternative  :?:

theres a bloke in wolverhampton selling new alternators, i bought a 85A alternator for our 110 off him for £50

You're looking at £99 + VAT from Craddocks for a new alternator, so a bearing repair might be cheaper :!:  :!:

SAC*, Spon End, Coventry.

They can rebuild in a 100+A version, if you so desire. No complaints with 'em (used 'em for years).

*Could be listed as the Starter motor and Alternator Centre.

Got it done at Vehicle Electrics on Stockfield Road in Acocks Green 0121 706 0688 - shot blasted and repainted all the outer bits, new rotor, new diode pack, nuts and bolts etc. etc. £75 plus the dreaded  :roll:
