Hi guys hope you are all well and wish you all happy new year, its been a few weeks since we left the uk but we are finally back online in New zealand. Hardly any landrovers over here but alot of offroading, just had the kiwi challenge which was an awesome event, dominated by toyota and nissan and also oddly enough suzukis. i bought a 3.1td isuzu trooper as a car but i am going to build a susuki sj or old landcruiser for offroading.

Happy New Year Daemon
We're not jealous really
-
thanks guys, hows the old disco mace?

Happy New Year, and welcome to NZ - it might be time for us to set up an NZ chapter of Mud-Club.
I'd say it would be less hassle to find a Holden powered Series than bother putting an old 'Cruiser together for playing offroad - the bodywork is mostly too rotten on them for my liking. I think there's a passable 90 for sale a bit further South if you're interested.

Still Green (but full of green lane scratches :-) )
Still Going (but full of Land Rover niggles :-) )
Still Getting bits added (rocksliders were the last)
Still Happy :-)

nz you are right they are full of filler which is odd as everything else stays nice!! quit like the idea of a suzuki?? my isuzu bighorn is not really the kind of thing that gets used offroad from what ive seen but i needed to get a car and its in good nick for a 13 yearold.

All Toyotas sold here prior to about 1985 went rotten in double quick time, then they sorted out the paint on them and they started to survive a bit longer. A Suzuki wouldn't be a bad option - you'd find something that would make a passable project for $1500 (about 600 quid for those of you still at home). And you're right ... Bighorn + Mud = Stuck

Good to see you back on line. Didn't know you were moving to NZ. Only met you the once, when I came to Devils pit with you and Mark(?) in my white 110. You didn't get much further than Bedford town centre if I remember rightly. Glad to see you made it slightly further this time!

A Colin King might be a bit hard to find - I know 4 of them so finding the right one could be difficult. What does the Colin you know do for a living?
