Title: Engine oil cooler pipes 90tdi
Post by: Hangover on January 05, 2006, 21:53:01
Where's the best place to obtain engine oil cooler pipes for the 300tdi Defender 1995,mine appear to be leaking slightly and dripping on to the diff,i believe this is a common fault.
Thanks,
Kev.

Are they leaking in the pipe itself or the ends, might be worth popping them off to see if they have o-rings on the ends

I'm sure it's the steel pipe that's corroded near to where the rubber pipe is crimped on.
Thanks,
Kev

When I needed a set for my 200Tdi (as didn't get them when I swapped my engine) I went to a local hydraulics' place....

£35 cash for the two.... (though worth shopping around, the place I use is just a lad and his dad)

Bargain compared to the price of one new one from Land Rover!!!

Only difference, total pipe length is made from rubber hose (internal braided), instead of having steel tube inserts.
