Title: Weber Carb Settings
Post by: robbie on April 15, 2004, 20:59:48
Does anyone know of a garage that stocks the weber jets and emulsion tubes (I think that is what they are called) and of course plenty of information about which size I would need :)

I have recently fitted a Weber to the Suzuki and it is running a little rough on tickover, which I think is the jets. It runs fine on th emove, tons better than the original carb

Hi Tak, long time no hear :) Yeeh the carb is fine when the car is running but tickover is not stable, somtimes fast, sometimes cuts out. I think it is the jets that are letting too much fuel through on tickover. I just need someone who can help jet it up and I think it will be away.

Spoke to a helpful guy at 'Fuel Systems Enterprises' in Staines. Terry was his name and he can be found on 01784 493555.

Apparently I had not connected the solenoid up. This is needed to allow the engine to idle...... Once connected, the carb and car now run great :D :D :D

So, Weber 32/34 DMTL (I think Escort XR3) works fine on the Suzie if you ever need to replace the old crappy Aisin unit.

Thanks to all who commented on my probs and gave me clues to help sort it, even if they didnt work :D
