I recently bought a set of side steps that came off a Disco commercial, I've been trying to get them to go on my Disco 5 door, but there is nothing to fix them to.
Is there a significant difference in the distance between the outriggers on a commercial as compared to a 5 door, or am i missing some brackets that bolt to the main chassis rails.
The steps are made of round tubular steel with a checker plate tread.
Failing that, who has a 3 door or commercial Disco around Northampton I could have a look under?

I think there is a bit of difference between 5 and 3 door ( i tried to lift a 5 door on a post lift couldn't get it right a 3 door easy)
There is a 3 door at a garage along the wellingbough road I am sure the owner wouldn't mind you looking at it

Theres normally two large plates which bolt to the body mounts and to the chassis outriggers. You then drill a hole through the outriggers and the plate and put a bolt through.
This is for a discovery 1 I imagine the commercial is the same. the disco 2 steps are the same as thats what I am using on my disco 1.
Picture is of the front drivers side bracket, body mount is the bolt you can see at the top of the pic.
hope that helps.
