Right you will have to Humour me on this one as the Forum cannot supply Noises..
I have a Noise on my 90 and from drving her it appears to be comming roughly from underneath the Tub direcly behind the front seats??..
The only way i can describe it sound wise is if you Imagine as if a door wasnt shut rumble and only when i go over a bump..
I have looked underneath and cannot see anything and what ever it is it does not effect driving.
It is as if somthing is bottoming out like a Suspension rubber cushion but all springs are fine dull noise.
I am lost its so anoying when driving and me being me i want to nail it and sort it out..any ideas

have you checked play in the prop?? or look for a clean spot on the prop, it might have lost a balance weight.
Is it at certain speeds too??
-
I will check prop but it is at all speeds under load and slow
I thought it might be the A frame Joints ??
Its not a clunking more of a dull Bump just like a as if You bottomed out on Spring Rubber ,,hard to explain
-
is it possiable that it could be a knackerd bush?
I had on go making anoise like you describe
-
Check lower front shocker bushes - noticed in the past any noise from them seems to travel and sound like it's coming from under the seats
-
Ok matey will do i assume it is Jemmy at joint and look for play?
-
Right i have checked props and have i done this right left in Gear???,, No play at all.
A frame fine but i have found the Rear passenger side Shock Absorber to be loose at the top Rubber Bush would this cause this and is this easy to do?
If this is the case how do i repair is it a case of remove shock IE: Just unbolt and put new rubbers on ??
-
Daft suggestion perhaps?
It's not one of the pressed strengthening bars along the underside of the body-tub that's broken away & is vibrating???
-
Nope checked them as well??
Good idea though
-
Taking the Landy To get it lifted up on Table so hopefully find out whats going on??
Any other ideas
Last thing to confirm when checking for play in the Prop should it be in gear or not?
-
play in the front bush of the rear raduis arm?
-
Well had her up on the Ramp today at the Garage and nothing!!!
Checked Radius arms
Shocks bushes
Gearbox mounts
Exaust
The lot nothing loose?????????
No doubt somthing will drop off and prove me wrong dam anoying as i hate things like that

I had a noise like the one your describing on my 90, 2nd trip out in it and rear prop fell off. Garage told me the circlips?? (think thats what he called them) in the joint at rear of shaft had either not been fitted properly or not fitted at all, that caused play which led to the joint snapping. Sorry cant be clearer than that, i aint a mechanic but hope you understand which bit i mean.

i might be able to help here.i had a very similar noise before which disapeared.it went when i changed the rear spring retaining bars for heavy duty ones.i found that i could turn my springs with the weight if the body off them.now if you think about it the rear and front radius/trailing arms connect under the seats.noise can easily travel here.
