Suprising result on insurance quotes.

40 years old/no NCB.

Suzuki Vitara, 1992/1.6 petrol/soft top/manual
TPFT=£139.31.
Landrover 90 1987, 2.5 turbo diesel/3 door estate
TPFT=£115.55

Figures from "Quotezone", company is "Highway"

I did think the 90 would have been a lot more.

Hi prowler.  You may find the 90 is receiving a large age of vehicle discount.  Also the 90 is not something allot of younger drivers not in the off road scene would go for, preserving their claim statistics where as the Vitara can attract younger drivers.

Yeah, insurance is ace.

My 90, with all mods declared is cheaper (by a fair chunk) to insure than a stock 3.5 Range Rover.    Just because Range Rovers (apparently) crash more and people nick 'em :-)
