Title: Rear Bumper Re-Post

As some of you may remember i got myself a nice HD bumper for the back of my disco, then when it arrived it didnt fit  see http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=6189&view=next

Well my HD bumper for my rangie arrived yesterday  so out this morning to fit it

you can guess where this is going cant you

it bloody well doesnt fit, its not even close  

why cant people make these things and make them right  


Not naming any names as i've phoned them and they are going to get back to me and the service so far has been good

You seam to have problems with rear bumpers Steve
I hope you get it sorted out soon.
I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the Tdi beast!

It's probably due to landrovers build tollerances rather than the aftermarket gear.

normally i'd agree but its the chassis would need some SERIOUS adjustment to get this thing to fit

Where did you get it?

I had one made by Mill Services for my old RRC and trying to get it to fit my new RRC was a nightmare. As said its LR build quality.

is the chassis back end that different between older and newer classics then?

Its the same, just the build quality is not up to much. Very big tolerances.

well the new bumper turned up this morning  :D  

and it just fell on, only took 10 minutes to fit and looks the dogs dangelys

got it from firstfouroffroad

they were very apologetic and got my replacment out nice n fast, seems a problem at the fabricators cause the 1st one not to fit

Now a happy bunny  :D  :D  :D  :D
