It's probably due to landrovers build tollerances rather than the aftermarket gear.

normally i'd agree but its the chassis would need some SERIOUS adjustment to get this thing to fit

Where did you get it?
I had one made by Mill Services for my old RRC and trying to get it to fit my new RRC was a nightmare. As said its LR build quality.

is the chassis back end that different between older and newer classics then?

Its the same, just the build quality is not up to much. Very big tolerances.

should have stuck with the dicrapsu then.

well the new bumper turned up this morning :D
and it just fell on, only took 10 minutes to fit and looks the dogs dangelys
got it from firstfouroffroad
they were very apologetic and got my replacment out nice n fast, seems a problem at the fabricators cause the 1st one not to fit
Now a happy bunny :D :D :D :D
