Title: this weekend I have been mostly.....
Post by: the loon on January 21, 2006, 17:57:04
working on the disco  :?
waxoyled chasis and inner wings
Fitted airhorns (both mine and disco geordies)
cleaned up tow bar and fitted a tow ball
remounted airfilter (old mounts had come apart)
Started fitting CB (cut wrong wire and lost rear washwipe but soon fixed that)

Still need to finish fitting CB (just needs wiring to electrics)
Also want to take out rear load liner and hammerite the floor pannel

But all in all been a productive day
 :D

Good Lad :)

now that you are practiced in the ancient art of wax-oiling, you can do mine if you like ;)

I only wish I had the time..........

I waxoyled my chassis and inner wings and all the other underneath bits last summer, really paying dividends now as loads of mud just flakes of when it dries leaving a nice clean waxoyled surface again, still have to use the jet washer though for those areas that seem to scoop mud up by the kilo!. Will do it again this summer when its all nice and dried out.

I changed my front discs and pads today, and then helped Paul (EA51MUD) change his pads all round.

Need to get hold of some rear discs and do those next weekend . . .

I would probably say if your offroading do it about every six months rather than 12.
I know with the 90 six months seemed to be about right to keep a good coating on

Thanks for the airhorns loony.

Well today I stripped and cleaned up the boot floor, bit of a mess across the rear crossmember, a coat of Krust and then black hammerite tidied it up lovely

This weekend i nearly killed my NSF wheel bearing.
Its been feeling a bit dodgy for a couple of weeks but i decided to leave it
There's all the parts i need to fix it turning up tomorrow.
So i'll be fixing that in the dark after work.
Also i painted the rear cross member and front bumper on SWMBO's Series 3.
See here (http://members.mud-club.com/profiles/Jake/gallery/Series3/2/8db074f08f4046504f9d93a74dd1dfcf.jpg/) and here (http://members.mud-club.com/profiles/Jake/gallery/Series3/2/4d15b84090bf0af2628e71b4c18abed3.jpg/) for pictures.
Kate's well pleased with it.
(brownie points earned   )
