So isn't he a 'real' Colonel anymore then?, has he finished his comission??

He was a colonel, but I think he's retired, remember there were 3 of them originally, all army officers.

He has been on some american versions of scrapheap challenge as well

I thought officers were allowed to keep their title after retiring?
