just spent the best part of this weekend fitting a newer instrument panel in to my car. It had the older style pannel with just the speedo and water petrol gauge's I have replaced it with the newer classic one with rev gauge and speedo. And it was one heck of a job as lots of differance between the wiring on my 82 and the new panel out of a 93. anyway all gauges work ok just temp gauge now sits just below the red line I know that the engine is not overheating. And looking on the back of the ins panel there is two adjustable pots behind the temp gauge dos anyone know if by adjusting these it will turn the gauge down. Havent tryed as dont want to muck up nice new ins panel thanks :D

Im sure this has been covered before. I think the solution was to put a resistor inline. But youll have to play with sizes.
-
though that may be the answer. Will have to wait til next weekend now then iwll have a play. Got loads of resistor of all sizes bound to have one to do it thanks

where did you feed the rev counter from? My rangie's rev counter has never worked, I have a spare wire under the bonnet where it's supposed to plug into the alternater, but no socket on the alternater to plug it into.

I've just found this post on another forum which will show you how to connect the rev counter to the alternator if it has no connector fitted.

cant find anything behind the alternator as it is a strange one because of the vacum pump connected to the back of it. wil have to have a good look around it. think it could turn out into a big job
