Title: think im gona go for another Disco instead of a P38

as you may no ive been thinking of changing my TD5 for a P38 as i want another V8, so now have the possibility of a year 2000 4.0V8i ES auto Disco, with only 35k on the clock, colour burnt orange with cream leather, its looking like a straight swop for my 2001 TD5 XS manual with 71k on the clock, got to be a better car than a P38 with all there problems, and its a top of the range Disco, i noticed it had the walnut surrounding the gear shift and window buttons so wondering if its a premium...

Hi

Yes, I'd say it's a premium.  On an 'X' plate, ES Discos had standard grey leather, not the cream (or 'lightstone') and also didn't have the walnut surround.  Sounds like a nice car, if you like the colour.  Mind the P38 is also a nice car and, if you were looking at a 2000 model then it would have the updated lights plus be a lot more reliable than the earlier ones.  Depends what you want the car for really.  My son drives a 2000 DHSE.  I drive a Discovery TD5 and whereas I like driving his car, I wouldn't trade the Disco for one...
