finally got to buying this months tor mag and what a load of rubbish it is,you have to get to page 32 before there is anything remotely worth reading ..then that is only readers letters..they say they are going to change the mag with more emphasis on off roading ,thank god for that .but isn't that what they were trying to sell this drivel under anyway .

As a Subscriber who does love the Mag i have to admit i thought this months was a bit cr@p. I am hoping it was a one off and that they were offloading all the rubbish before they start with the fresh format (which sounds good imho).

Same as that! first 15 pages were toilet paper, but to be fair i think that
the mag is in transition and its the first bad issue ive seen in 2 yrs, lets
hope that next month is as good as they promise-or its the last i buy,

Ah, but it was worth it's cover price just for the pictures of Tim stuck at Whaddon :P

I saw that too whilst flicking through in WHSmith, made me chuckle!! Some of those other pictures were quite cool too.
I noticed today that all the Landrover magazines are quite bland these days, I was looking for one to take away with me at the weekend, but instead of spending nearly £4 I'd rather buy the Beano!

you're right most of the LR mags are sadly lacking these days.
and, dont get me started on their lousy product reviews!!!

You could have seen them for free by looking in Paul's gallery ;-)
I've exchanged a couple of emails with the TOR editor recently, and I think they realise that this particular edition was a bit of a faux pas. We are not alone in disliking it.
He described it as an 'experiment'.. and I think it the results have spoken for themselves. On the plus side, as mentioned, the magazine is now taking a new direction with almost no 'tarmac' off-roaders and a lot more competition / overland / preparation articles.
The magazines are all getting a bit jaded IMHO, and despite not liking it, I have to give credit to TOR for at least trying something different rather than just trotting out the same old formula every month.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the new format of the mag develops..

I don't know, Feb's Land Rover World was pretty good, kept me quiet for about 2 hours, even if it was mostly drooling over some of the stuff in there.
