Hi all
Has anyone removed the dust plates from behind the brake disc's ?.........if so is there any problems for getting the car tested (MOT) etc...........as when at langdale last sunday i found that there was so much mud and twigs etc stuck in there that it was more of a problem than a help.
Cheers

I've removed mine.
Much easier to clean after playing in the mucky stuff. And stones don't get trapped in there, scoring the discs etc . . . .
Can't think why they would be part of the MOT, but I can let you know next week if there's a problem

Cheers
Mines going for its test in two weeks so might just wait until after then.

Sometimes removal consists of breaking off whats left after they rot away
-
Take them off, they do nothing but collect stones.
No problem with them being removed for the MOT either.

thank god for that
did my real wheel bearings today and changed the pads and mr rust had done his work on the guards so i binned them
