It was the coldest night on record for 9 years on Tues night Wed morning. I know as my sodding windscreen cracked ight from the passenger side to the drivers side on my Rover 620i. And before you say anything no I didnt poor any boiling water over it. I used my ice scraper and it cracked as I went round a corner 6 miles into my journey into work. Work is 8 miles from my house! I had the heater on the screen from the second I started the engine.
Next day same corner I heard the Disco screen make a loud pop and made me jump and quickly turned heaters off screen and slowed down around corners. I think with it being so cold and the body slightly twisting made the 620 screen go and nearly the disco one.

There was a dusting of snow this morning at Lawford Heath (nr Rugby Warks). Just enough to make the lanes a bit dicey.

Have a look on this French site (http://www.meteociel.com/modeles/ens_cartes.php?code=0&ech=0&mode=1) and slowly mouse over the hours down the lefthand side of the screen.
Looks like the cold weather is staying in Russia for now.

It was trying to snow in keighley earlier when we were there........not very successfully but still it tried. Is damn cold though :(

Indeed- by next Wednesday (+120h) this model shows the Continent as being very cold. Maybe it will spill over to us by the back end of next week?
-
It snowed on the high ground in Snowdonia (3000ft and above) Sunday night.
It tried a bit this afternoon, but it warmed up and it was more light rain than snow.
-
We've had gritting all week, it's a pain when you try to keep the cars looking smart.
-
like snowing now in guildford.
-
Its on its way, just watched some News on the box and it is -30 in Poland!!!! I think it is only a bit of high pressure keeping it away from the UK
-
Damn that high pressure!
Still I've got a hose to seal on the 101 Monday so fingers crossed... or very frosty fingers as the case may be.

he said it wouldnt happen (the cold front)
there is high pressure over uk which it wont penetrate and we are to expect milder but wet weather

I love this site. In one of their predictions, next week is the beginning of the next Ice Age :D
-
oooh that looks cold

Don't know what the temperature's been today, but as the sun melted the frost on the 90, the water froze again in the shade on the yard.
