I have put the jate rings on my disco now and wondered if they are in the right place?
I have put 2 on the tow bar mounts. The bolts that go onto the re-inforcing bars back to the chassis by the fuel tank.
I have also put 2 at the front as well. I have put 1 where the bumper bolts onto the chassis and another on the ............hmm could be trick to explain. You know what the little bracket on the rear where the bolts go through for the re-inforcing bar for the tow bar is? It looks like that. On the front on the drivers side the steering arm is mounted on it but I have put the ring on the passenger side. Get where I mean?
Is this the right places to be putting them? I have angled the rear ones backwards a bit and front ones forwards.

I Don't know about the front one's as I've got eyes welded to the winch bumper for towing but you got the rears in the same place as I have and they work fine for me.

I am guessing a winch bumper bolts onto the same place as a standard bumper? So I would have though that ring should be ok and if the steering arms are bolted onto a very similar hole on tother side of car that must be strong too I guess?
But good to know I have back ones in right place. Need a southdown type of tow bar now!

I have jate rings on the front of mine - I've used them in both instances to replace the bottom bolt for the bumper mounting and try and use a bridle with them if I ever need to use them in anger.
