Post by: Doodlebug on January 27, 2006, 18:56:45
Anyone know whay thickness steel the 2a (1964) chassis were made from as I need to plate the top of the drivers side dumb iron this weekend.

Ive got some 2mm but Im not sure if this will be too thin as its gone around the top bumper bolt holes.

You can buy the replacement dumb irons and go that route if you want

I've got 2 spare new dumb irons - didnt use them in the end as I bought a new chassis. Make an offer if they are any use - if not no probs

If you do go for the fabrication route, it would be around 2-3mm thick.
